Spin Fidelity review :
Destiny’s Way is now bouncing through the speakers. Fantastic heard sounding piano melodies coursing over class chi town beats and bassline bubblin under. The beautiful pads take you to another place. Great opening track.

Emotional Process again utilises those gorgeous pads however this time in a distinctly more Detroit an early b12 productions the 808 hi hats sounding crisp along the bouncing toms really give a perfect second wave electro. Then the lush haunting lead line rushes in and your away. 10/10

New World is a beauty too starts of with those 808 drums distinctly Detroit reminding me of Keith Worthy or Patrice Scott and the pads come in with the almost pipe lead line giving it a definite world feel but outer space at the same time. Perfect deepness for both the head and the feet. Gorgeous track.

Rotation great early 90s electro the drexciyan underwater feel really working. Beautiful melodies course through the track really making the journey. Great drum programming would love to hear this played out glassy eyed dancefloor moment for sure.

Moving Forward is a proper 909 Detroit style workout starts with a wicked bass sequence riff and may style 909 hi hats an snares rolling off. portamento synth melodies then chime in and your in fully in 90s techno banger. Another one that would do great in the club.

Touching the surface with its bongos and 909 4/4 shuffle reminds me of fabrice lig which is no bad thing as he’s been making some of the best Detroit inspired techno for the last 15yrs or more. The track is darker in its core than previous on the album brooding chord stabs coming in an out. Stark yet beautiful. Top track.

The New Path a lovely deep groover of a. With a pulsating bassline and chi-town stabs this is Chicago house at its finest. Once again showing Darren’s versatility and knowledge for the music. Half way through the track really picks up pace. Absolute quality.

Distant is my favorite on the album so far. The deep sub bass and glassy eyed pad and melodies. Take you away instantly. You can understand why Steve Rutter wanted him on his Firescope label. Crafted beautifully brimmed with emotional content. Instant classic.

Organically Modified continues where Distant left off. Albeit in a more early Bleep Sheffield vibe with more excellent programming and melodies firing off. This is gorgeous stuff.

Weightless mix of New World adds more to the ethnic space theme allowing the lush pads and lead to take a central role in the this blissed out take on the original.

Destiny’s Way smooth mix finishes the album off in beautiful fashion once again giving a new more chilled out vibe to the original. This time the 4/4 is taken over by laid back 808 breakbeats an shimmering hi hats the atmosphere is also cranked up a notch. Great way to end what is a superb album.
